Brian
McGrath
Brian is in long-term recovery and enjoys family, outdoor activities and animals. Brian is a life time learner.

Brian McGrath is a founder of Optimal Recovery Coaching Associates and has worked in all aspects of the recovery field for well over a decade. Brian has worked his way into to leadership roles. Before working in the recovery field Brian was a ticketed carpenter for over 25 years.
​
Brian is a member of CACCF has taken courses through Essential Impact to receive his Certified Leadership Coach credential and taken courses receiving a Certified Recovery Coach and Certified Addiction Counsellor. Brian enjoys research and is a lifelong learner.

Brian is in long-term recovery and enjoys family, outdoor activities and animals. Brian is married with adult children and grandkids.
Sam Lupton
​
Sam is a founder of Optimal Recovery Coaching Associates and believes everyone has the opportunity to lead a meaningful and purposeful life. Sam is a former Associate Director of the Lawyer’s Assistance Program of British Columbia, an organization dedicated to increasing well being in the legal profession. He is also a practicing lawyer with over 18 years experience in various leadership roles.
Sam is a Certified Recovery Coach and has expanded his knowledge and skills through several counselling and personal growth courses, including the VCC Foundational Counselling Skills Program. Sam has a wealth of experience in the recovery field.

Sam leads a busy and balanced life, and he is passionate about recovery through connection and community. Sam regularly volunteers with several non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the community and serves on the board of directors of the North Vancouver Football Club and its over 10,000 members. At home, he is busy with two active sons, an understanding partner and a less understanding dog.
Sam believes everyone should have the opportunity to lead a meaningful and purposeful life.
Geri McGrath

Geri is a founder of Optimal Recovery Coaching Associates and has spent over 23 years in leadership roles in hospice care. Geri sat on the provincial hospice board and was part of the development of provincial standards in volunteer education. In the early years of hospice care Geri and her colleges lobbied to include hospice philosophies in clinical palliative practice.

Geri has designations/certifications in fundraising, special event management, non-profit management, organizational capacity, Proci change management, End of Life Care, Communications, Strategic planning. Geri holds a master's degree in leadership from Royal Roads and is a trained Recovery Coach."

Geri is an avid equestrian, an artist enjoys being a nanny to her two granddaughter, is a mother of two grown children and mother-in-law, Geri has been married for over thirty five years.
